- To Ban...or Not To Ban-

 ******
Off late there have been quite a discussions, agreements-disagreements with the whole issue of “Banning artists from across the border”… I am not going to comment on who is right or who is wrong...neither going to support or oppose the concept of “Ban”; Neither I care about if artists come & work here or artists here, go & work across the border… as both artistes have enough work & talent to work in their own country , their respective industries have enough work to survive without the other, each of them have their own admirers, in their own respective countries…they don’t need other countries admirers to prove their talent.

We live in a democratic country, & everyone has a right to have his/her own likes & dislikes…& if one doesn’t like someone or certain things, an individual has a full right to oppose …but an individual cannot force own likes & dislikes…If I like or hate a particular individual only I can hate or like him/her…but cant force other people to do the same. Also, it's really unfair to judge common citizens of any country & abuse them…
Yes, if any actor/citizen himself/herself involved in any suspicious activity, then the ban & opposition is justiciable.

Everything said & done, I personally feel, banning is not a solution to a big problem “Terrorism” we face & have to deal with…Its important that instead of focussing on trivial issues of why artistes are coming in our country, why our going there, or waste our time & energy on banning them & get into petty fights of pointing fingers on others…the need of the hour is to focus on coming up with concrete steps & take more stronger measures to fight out terrorism…and this is something, which both the countries need to think about…coz at end of day, when any terror activity takes place, it’s the “innocent humans” , who have nothing to do with cross border politics or blame game…but fights for his/her everyday bread & butter…it’s an innocent common man who get most affected, irrespective of country they belong to, irrespective of their religion…
Terrorism effects one & all equally.
++++
People who want to send back actors working here or there…boycotting films, want to push them out of country etc ...Is there any single person who want to do same by going out there on border & do same with “terrorists”
People who opposing & came up with concept of banning, are they ready to fight out terrorism & say we gonna ban “Terrorism”…Are any of them ready to join Army & go through all hardships & selfless sacrifices they do for us, for our security…who fight out terrorists as strongly & bravely they do ....Are ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with them?
Instead of getting involved in trivial issues…its important to make your security system strong, do your bit in keeping country safe ...& have more than 100% belief & faith in your country’s army men who know their job the best & know what they are doing… ultimately its “Them” who are our unsung Heroes, who selflessly do their duties, so that we can have peaceful-secured lives & future…& what we do for them?

Its so easy for anyone to say We shud go for War…& We are ready for War… afterall that’s what an army personnel are taught, to safeguard their country & do anything & everything to protect their country…whichever country they serve…but in wartime situations not only a country’s economic condition is effected…but it’s the soldiers themselves, who suffer the most, not only they are in constant danger of loosing their lives but once they are Martyred…their families suffer an irreparable loss throughout their lives.

A special request to electronic & print media both, (specially 24*7 running news channels)  that instead of sensationalising, such issues, who attacked whom? Who blamed whom? Who is supporting Ban, who is not? Who is politicising who is not? Who is in which group, which camp…

Its for them to make people more aware about how to counter terrorism, how to be more aware of surroundings, How to be careful & alert whenever any suspicious activity is encountered…
Instead of publicising irrelevant comments by XYZ person…its high time they focus on serious issue of how to deal with terrorism, or what steps shud be undertaken to be a safe secured nation.
++++

Isn't this era, where younger generation need to think differently …irrespective of country they belong to, they need to understand things maturedly & use their own analytic logic before, supporting or opposing “Ban”…or blindly follow any particular group.
An individual’s patriotism doesn’t need a certificate or proof by supporting or opposing “Ban” …
Patriotism is what you feel & Do for your country!

--Freedom of Speech--

Freedom of speech

Freedom of speech is the political right to communicate one's opinions and ideas, includes any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used. It is a concept of the inherent human right to voice one's opinion publicly without fear of censorship or punishment.

Indian constitution articles 19, 20, 21 and 22, provide the right to freedom, guaranteeing individual rights that were considered vital by the framers of the constitution. Article 19, specifically guarantees freedom of speech & expression as one of the six freedoms. Its an individual’s right to express his/her own view about a person, object, situation etc.

But every freedom, every right comes with its own limitation & restriction. Infact restriction is wrong word to use it should be called “Responsibility”...Every Right, freedom comes with its own share of responsibility, as an individual as a person it should be our moral & ethical responsibility to express our opinion, viewpoint in a civilized & responsible manner. If we disagree, with a particular view point, or person we should restrain from misusing our freedom of speech but using abusive language or slang & should refrain ourselves from insulting others based on their race, religion or get personal & verbally abusive.

Freedom of speech doesn't allow to be abusive & derogatory, Freedom of speech simply means that we are free to express our opinion, our viewpoint without any fear, even if we disagree wit something, some topic, some person, we are free to show our disagreement but in a civilized proper manner.

In celebrity perspective, when a person is a public figure & specifically when in public domain, the moral responsibility, increase a level higher…Being a public figure its important that as individual, person carries & conducts himself/herself ethically & responsibly as people tend to get easily influence, & creates a negative impression about the celebrity be it a sportsman, politician, or people from media, films or any profession for that matter. When freedom of speech is provided to us, no one stop us from saying anything on any matter, but its our own individual intellect, & sensibility of how we express our self.

Its for an Individual to understand his/her own moral & ethical responsibility to be sophisticated & civilised in expressing his/her own opinions & view points. We are all so aware about our Rights & freedom & we demand it at every given opportunity but its equally important for us to be aware of our responsibilities & duties as an individual as a person.

Hopefully, people will get more mature & civilized & refrain themselves from being verbally abusive even if they disagree with certain things or issues.
